![]() | KERSH This spoon was given to Daniel Green Rogers Kersh by his mother Mary Ann Rhodes Kersh as he went off to fight in the Civil War. One of Daniel's buddies was shot, and Daniel put the spoon in the wounded soldier's mouth to keep him from swallowing his tongue as the bullet was removed. The teeth marks left a lasting impression on the spoon and on Daniel. | |
